RACE TRAINING

Slalom and giant slalom coaching with Marco Furio, a BASI Alpine Level 4 ISTD instructor and BASI Trainer / Examiner. Develop your technique, line and confidence in gates, with a group focused on race skiing.

TECHNICAL FREESKIING

Build technique and confidence across varied terrain, outside the gates. For confident skiers, with no racing background required.

Trying short gates later in the week is completely optional.

Stay at Fyri Resort Hotel, with ski-in, ski-out access, breakfast, a three-course dinner and time to unwind at the spa.

Choose different coaching groups and enjoy the same trip together.

THE WEEK AHEAD.

  • Arrive in Hemsedal, settle into Fyri and meet the team. A kit check and welcome briefing set up the week, followed by dinner together.

    Scheduled Oslo transfers are included for full package guests.

    12:00 to 13:00 Lunch
    13:00 to 16:00 Afternoon coaching

    Each group follows its own focus: race training in gates or technical freeskiing across varied terrain.

    Evenings leave time for video feedback, dinner and the spa, with a ski preparation workshop on one evening. The programme adapts to conditions.

  • A final debrief and your personal coaching report before heading home. Scheduled transfers to Oslo are included for full package guests.

BEFORE YOU GO.

  • Scheduled airport transfers are included for full package guests and are provided by UNIQ X or a local transfer company.

    Meet at Oslo Gardermoen Airport Arrivals.
    Departure: 14:00.
    Destination: Fyri Resort Hotel.

    19 DECEMBER
    Meet at Fyri Resort Hotel.
    Departure: 07:00.
    Destination: Oslo Gardermoen Airport.

    If your flights do not fit these transfers, contact us before booking to discuss other arrangements.

  • Please arrange flights that allow you to join the scheduled transfers. Check the arrival and departure times with us before booking your flights.

    If you choose flights outside the group schedule, you may need to arrange your own airport transfers.

  • MARCO FURIO | RACE TRAINING

    Marco is a BASI Alpine Level 4 ISTD instructor and BASI Trainer / Examiner with 15 international ski seasons. He also holds the French Carte Professionnelle. A former FIS racer, he has coached nationally for Great Britain and Australia and brings extensive experience to the race training group.

    TECHNICAL FREESKIING COACH

  • Full package guests stay at Fyri Resort Hotel, with both coaching groups sharing the same base.

    Single room accommodation is £2,780 per person. Shared accommodation is £2,380 per person and must be booked for two people together.

    You can travel with a friend or partner, share a room and choose different coaching groups. Please tell us your rooming preferences when booking.

  • All skiers must have valid ski accident insurance for Norway, including public liability, rescue on the slopes including helicopter rescue, medical treatment and repatriation.

    Your cover must be suitable for the skiing you plan to do. Race training participants must have ski racing cover. If you choose to try gates during the technical freeskiing week, check that your policy covers this before taking part.

    We also recommend cover for unused services following injury or slope closure. Please send a digital copy of your insurance policy to UNIQ X management before the trip.

  • Choose your accommodation and payment option on the booking page, then complete the details for each skier.

    In “Additional Comments / Questions?”, please state your preferred group: Race Training or Technical Freeskiing. If you are booking for two people, tell us the choice for each skier.

  • No. The technical freeskiing group is for confident adult skiers who want coaching outside the gates. No racing background is required.

    There may be an opportunity to try short slalom gates later in the week, but it is completely optional. You can choose to focus on freeskiing throughout.

    If you want a week focused on gate training and race technique, choose the race training group.
